RYA First Aid Course Southampton & Lymington £49
The RYA first aid course runs at both our training centres in Southampton and Lymington at a cost of just £49 per person which includes the 3 year certificate.
It offers all students a level of first aid that can be practically applied at sea with the first aid equipment that should be found in a boats first aid box. A lot of the practical activities are aimed at stabilising the casualty until professional help can be reached.

As the recognised course for RYA commercial endorsements this one day course offers you all the first aid knowledge that a commercial skipper needs to have for a working life at sea.
RYA First Aid At Sea Course Syllabus
The course is recommended by both the MCA and HSE. The subjects specific to boating include:
The recovery position in a confined space
CPR, including the Drowning protocol
Cold Shock and Hypothermia from immersion and/or exposure
Seasickness and Dehydration
Summoning Medical Assistance or Advice by VHF
Helicopter Rescue procedures

Based in the heart of the Solent marine industry we have located our marine training centre within Saxon Wharf marina just 1.5 miles from Southampton central railway station. If traveling by car we have free parking onsite. Our courses are run by our own staff who are part of Solent Boat Training, an RYA recognised training centre.
